P010 → Team GB x Brompton
Brompton have collaborated with Team GB since 2008, when Chris Hoy jumped out of the back of a London Routemaster and unfolded his Brompton at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. This grew into a commercial partnership where Team GB athletes were supplied with bikes to ride around the games as well as a special edition licensced bike being made available for sale across a number of select markets.
For the Tokyo games, the Lion Motif was brought to life across the designs and shot on location in the city.
We showcased the build up to the games by partnering with key athletes and showing how everyday city cycling can be incorporated even into the busy lives of an elite athlete. Brought together at an in person pick up event at the Brompton factory where staff and athletes got together for live Q&A and photo call.
I was the creative director on this project, with inhouse art direction and photography from the Brompton team, alongside external video production partner and local japanese photography. Managed the product proposition with the Brompton product team and team GB, selection of Team GB athlete ambassadors, budget, sell in of concept, and (importantly) IOC and team GB compliance on brand and all creative assets. Delivered global suite of assets for retail and digital.
